Why software engineering?

Software engineering has always been something that I’ve passionate about - from creating websites to studying and implementing machine learning.

Who am I? Just a recent graduate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, who was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I’ve been developing websites for fun since high school, and if I’m not thinking of something to create, I’m usually out on the court playing basketball or in the water surfing. Currently, I’m studying for my AWS SAA license as well as working on additionaly features for my text-based game.

Machine Learning

Train Stations and Neural Networks

Implemented a multi-layer perceptron on train station data from Liverpool Street, London to Norwich, England, in order to correctly predict departing and arrival times

Convolutional Neural Networks

Implemented a bag of SIFT features, spatial pyramids, and a convolutional neural network for feature extraction on Matlab using 1500 images from the SUN database.

Websites

Building a secure website

Created a secure website using Python and SQL where users can log in, post a review, and search for reviews, with security from SQL injection, cross-site, CSRF, and HTTP attacks.

Front-end and Back-end

Built an Expense tracker application that uses React, Spring Boot, and SQL

Shopify Website

Built a website through shopify that has been featured in GQ, NYMag, and other popular websites
